Special items - what are they and where do they come from?

In the EverForest, you'll encounter quests that require items that you cannot obtain from your plantables. We call these Special Items, which you can only get from our your creature friends!

Here's a handy guide that shows which animal gives which item. If you ever need one of these items, be sure to level up the creature that provides them to unlock more creature quests, which grant these items as rewards!

B. Slug the Banana Slug There’s more to this trusty sidekick than just a can-do attitude and cute antennae.	Numbing Slime Banana slugs’ numbing slime deters other creatures from chomping them. Other EverForest creatures may find imaginative uses for this sticky, slowing substance.
Umi the Spotted Owl Mysterious. Powerful. And the keeper of many of Nature’s secrets…	Keys It makes sense that mysterious and powerful creatures reward mysterious and powerful items. But the real question is… what the heck do these keys even open?!
Fuzzalot the Fuzzy-horned Bumblebee With a strong desire to buzz on up in her kingdom without a king, Fuzzalot is fancy—but is she fancy enough to beat her rival, naughty cousin Wigburt B Stingalot the Third?	Honey  A versatile and sweet treat, many creatures find the rare and regal honey of the Fuzzalot clan to be the best thing ever.
Oof the Grizzly Bear Will Oof find the lifelong forest friends he wants more than anything? What about a bumblebee costume?!	Fertilizer You can “yuck” all you want, but fertilizer literally makes the forests flourish.
Adams the Sockeye Salmon With a hero journey ahead, Adams is ready for all of the adventures Mother Nature has in store.	Adventure From maps to compasses… these adventure items are useful items for the most daring creatures in the EverForest!
Chomplain Practical and efficient, this builder is a keystone species who wants to keep the water clean and flowing... and the ecosystem progressing.	Beaver Skills Basic beaver chomps, tail fwaps, and musky scents… the creatures who need beaver skills are serious about restoring the forest!

Squee the Red Squirrel Heisty, feisty, and confident, is Squee a master collector? Because rumor has it that she may be a world-class thief, looking to discover her holy grail... the legendary, elusive GOLDEN ACORN.	Loot Just do yourself a favor and never, ever ask where Squee gets this stuff…
Echo the Little Brown Bat This shy creature has a penchant for fossils and bugs—and she’s always looking for new insect recipes. She loves music and sometimes needs help in her cave.	Sounds Echo rewards sounds and some of her favorites can range from simply beautiful to very useful. From buzzes to growls, and crashing waves, these sounds make the EverForest come alive.
Cheward the Mountain Goat Cheward’s silence—and his CHEWING—speaks louder than any words. Basically, Cheward eats anything and everything.	Compost Compost makes the forest go round and round… and with the amount Cheward consumes, he generates a lot of it. Many other creatures find it useful to help grow rich soil and more.
Medusa the Porcupine An experimental artist in many mediums, Medusa is magical. She loves quirky things, hates the status quo, and dreams of the spotlight…but she’s too shy to shine. For now.	Quill I’ll point out that a quill can be useful for so many things… writing tool, paintbrush, microphone handle, stir stick! Every artist needs a quill or two.
Dante the Razor Clam Dante is pretty simple. I mean does he even have an actual brain? What he does have is a bunch of jokes. Maybe they’re dad jokes…but he tries.	Pearls These miracle treasures are coveted by many in the forest…and maybe even beyond the EverForest!
Region: Bewitching Bog
Tal the Bald Eagle Tal is obsessed with attracting the right mate to the EverForest. Tal will go to great lengths to find romance and to build his legacy. While he comes off as abrasive, he has a tender heart and his whole journey is about love... this curmudgeon is looking for it!	Feathers Functional and beautiful, Tal gifts feathers which are wanted by many.
Neon the Rough-skinned Newt Neon is never far from a clear bit of water/his mirror. He's absolutely, ridiculously obsessed with how he looks. Also…He's the most poisonous creature in the forest! His arch enemy is Spinach the garter snake, the only animal immune to his poison.	Venom Neon gives away deadly venom. Naturally, he’s annoyed that there’s antivenom from that meddling garter snake that counteracts it.
Spinach the Garter Snake Archenemy of Neon, Spinach rolls his eyes a lot at Neon. Immune to Neon’s poison, Spinach loves to tease the egomaniac Newt and put him in his place.	Antivenom Antivenom is very useful to counteract the Venom that Neon gives away.
Brutus the Dusky Shrew A mysterious past. A mysterious present. A mysterious mission. Psst. Just forget you ever met this relentless detective.	Disguise Not just for undercover secret agents, disguises are valuable in the EverForest… and maybe even necessary for some slow-moving, naive, overly optimistic slugs.
Milo the Sea Otter Milo is a natural problem solver and loves using tools. But his real dream is to become a supervillain. Too bad he’s not great at it… yet.	Sunken Treasure With access to land and ocean, Milo has a lovely collection of sunken treasure to trade.
